To benefit Pope John Paul II Catholic High SchoolFeaturing exclusive streaming performances from Kermit Ruffins and Amanda Shaw

NEW ORLEANS – (February 22, 2021) – Galatoire’s, the classic fine dining New Orleans restaurant, is teaming up with Pope John Paul II Catholic High School (PJP) in Slidell to present “A Night Out At Home With Galatoire's,” to benefit the high school. Participants can enjoy all the trappings of “a classic New Orleans night out” from the comfort and safety of their own homes through the fundraiser which will feature a fine dining experience and live entertainment. Proceeds will benefit campus renovations, new STEM technology and campus security at Pope John Paul II Catholic High School.

“The future is bright for Pope John Paul II High School and we are getting stronger every day,” said Douglas Triche, president of Pope John Paul II Catholic High School. “We’re happy to serve our community with the help of Galatoire’s Restaurant, a New Orleans staple that creates fine dining experiences of a lifetime."

“A Night Out at Home with Galatoire’s” will take place on Thursday, March 18. Those who purchase tickets will enjoy a delectable three-course Galatoire’s meal and exclusive streamed entertainment by Kermit Ruffins (live) and Amanda Shaw (recorded).  Menu options include:

Salad

Wedge Salad

Entrée (Choice of)

Grilled Tenderloin Filets with Lyonnaise Potatoes and Crispy Brussels Sprouts

OR

Redfish with Crab Yvonne with Grilled Asparagus

Dessert

Lemon and Pecan Tartlets

Several packages and sponsorship levels are available and include items such as bottles of wine, Galatoire's commemorative decanter and water glasses, PJP commemorative candles and charcuterie trays.

“Our industry continues to struggle due to the pandemic and we know educational organizations face the same uncertainties,” said Galatoire’s president and CEO Melvin Rodrigue. “We are happy to be partnering with Pope John Paul II Catholic High School on this unique fundraising opportunity and look forward to bringing a classic night out in New Orleans experience to participants’ homes to help raise much-needed funds for the school.”

Meals will be delivered in the Slidell area by Pope John Paul II volunteers. Pickup will also be available at Pope John Paul II, 1901 Jaguar Drive, Slidell and St. Dominic School, 6326 Memphis Street, New Orleans.
