THE GALATOIRE FOUNDATION SURPASSES $1 MILLION RAISED FOR NEW ORLEANS COMMUNITY PROJECTS!
NEW ORLEANS – Following the completion of the 2014 Mardi Gras Table Auction, The Galatoire Foundation surpassed more than $1 million dollars raised since the inception of its now-famous holiday table auctions.
Annually, tables are auctioned off the Friday before Christmas and Mardi Gras. All proceeds collected have benefitted nearly two dozen New Orleans-area charitable organizations, from neighborhood rebuilding projects and crime prevention to youth programs and entrepreneurship efforts.
Recent Galatoire Foundation community partners have included, Café Reconcile, The Idea Village, Youth Empowerment Project, Operation Homefront, the Young Leadership Council, Raintree, Hermann-Grima Historic Houses, Crimestoppers, Dress for Success and The NOCCA Institute. By contributing to each of these organization’s missions, the Galatoire Foundation, through its loyal Galatoire’s patron base, has helped improve the New Orleans community through its rewarding work.
Created in 2010, the Galatoire Foundation establishes a framework for the restaurant’s numerous community activities and donations. The Galatoire Foundation’s community involvement extend across south Louisiana, working through Galatoire’s and 33 Bar and Steak in New Orleans, and Galatoire’s Bistro in Baton Rouge.
