MYSTIC KREWE OF BARKUS TAKES A BITE OF GALATOIRE’S TRADITIONAL FRIDAY LUNCH FEB. 6
His Majesty XXIII, King Andouille Lemarie and Her Majesty XXIII, Queen Ashley Renaudin of the Krewe of Barkus have their traditional Friday lunch dressed in royal attire at the historic Galatoire’s Restaurant, complete with champagne toasts and canine sniffs on Friday, Feb. 6, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Also in attendance will be Barkus Board members, Matt Rinard and Gregory Curtis. The Galatoire’s staff will serve the royals appropriately with the pomp and circumstance befitting the occasion.
The Barkus Krewe will parade on Sunday, Feb. 8, starting at 2 p.m. marching from Armstrong Park and proceeding through the French Quarter. This year’s theme, “BARK WARS: Return of the Canine,” will have tails wagging like light sabers and paws marching like storm troopers on this special day dedicated to canine world domination. You will not want to miss the pre-parade pawty in park, starting at 10:30 a.m. This epic canine event promises to restore order to everyone's favorite universe by tapping into the force within each krewe member.
