100th
Anniversary Celebration In
January of 2005, Galatoire’s kicked off its
yearlong 100th anniversary celebration with a street
party down Bourbon. In an attempt to set a world’s
record for the longest line, the restaurant served
over 1500 pounds of Shrimp Rémoulade and countless
glasses of wine, beer and champagne. No world record
was set, but a drawing was held in which select guests
won dinners for four, an assortment of 100th anniversary
commemorative pieces from Adler’s jewelers
and a reserved table for six on the Friday before
Mardi Gras.
